This is a science-fiction piece about escaping a resource starved Earth by voluntarily installing your brain into a jar connected to a virtual landscape. The Australian SF/fantasy magazine Aurealis has published my story Trashbot. It’s an eerie sci-fi short story about a man stuck repairing a malfunctioning service bot aboard a seeding ship, but in doing so, learns that more than just the robot has gone awry.
